PVRLA appoints new authorities – Paweł Piórkowski becomes President of the Management Board. The organization strengthens representation of all market segments, including the new Truck Rental Group

At the end of March, the Polish Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (PVRLA) elected its new authorities for the next two-year term. Paweł Piórkowski, who has served as a long-standing Member of the PVRLA Management Board, has been appointed President of the Management Board. The new composition reflects the organization’s strategic development direction, including strengthening the representation of the commercial vehicle segment and the activities of the newly established Truck Rental Group.

Paweł Piórkowski has taken the helm of PVRLA, having been associated with the organization for nearly a decade—serving continuously as a Member of the Management Board from 2017 to 2026. Since 2013, he has been President of the Management Board of Hertz Polska (Motorent sp. z o.o.), where he is responsible for the development of one of the leading companies in the Polish short-term rental market.

The five-member PVRLA Management Board, in addition to the President, includes: Michał Iwanek – CEO of Fraikin Polska; Anna Makarewicz – Member of the Management Board of Leasys Polska; Robert Antczak – General Manager, Central Europe Region at Arval; and Daniel Trzaskowski – President of the Management Board of Carefleet.

In addition to electing the Management Board, the PVRLA General Assembly also appointed the Audit Committee for the next term. Its members are: Paweł Kostrubiec – MHC Mobility Polska; Grzegorz Fijałkowski – PKO Masterlease; and Dariusz Tucharz – mLeasing. The Committee will be responsible for overseeing the Association’s activities and supporting the implementation of its statutory objectives in the years 2026–2028.

The Association extends its sincere thanks to the outgoing Members of the Management Board – Piotr Wróbel and Tomasz Kapelko – as well as the outgoing members of the Audit Committee – Marcin Nivette and Hubert Laszczyk – for their commitment, contribution to the development of PVRLA, and active role in shaping fleet market standards in Poland.

New structure, full market representation

This year’s election of PVRLA authorities takes place at a special moment—following the expansion of the organization’s structure to include the heavy and specialist vehicle segment and the establishment of the Truck Rental Group. The inclusion of a representative of this area in the Management Board marks an important step toward full representation of all segments of the fleet market.

The current composition of the Management Board reflects the three key pillars of PVRLA’s activity: long-term rental (CFM), Rent a Car, and the rapidly developing commercial vehicle segment, including heavy transport. At the same time, new individuals representing member companies have joined the organization’s authorities, actively engaging in PVRLA structures and contributing to the development of the industry.

Experience, continuity, and a fresh perspective

An important element of the new term is the continuity of management. Robert Antczak, who served as President of the Management Board for three consecutive terms between 2020 and 2026, remains on the Board as a Member, bringing experience gained during a period of dynamic market changes.

Daniel Trzaskowski also continues his role on the Board, having been a Member since 2024 (and previously in 2014–2019), and is a recognized expert in fleet management and the digitalization of processes in the automotive industry.

Michał Iwanek, CEO of Fraikin Polska, has joined the PVRLA Management Board. He has long been associated with the fleet market, including the light commercial and heavy vehicle segments, further strengthening the Association’s competencies in commercial transport.

Anna Makarewicz, Member of the Management Board of Leasys Polska, brings experience in organizational management, HR, and credit risk, supporting the implementation of business strategies in an international environment.

Challenges and priorities for the new term

The new PVRLA Management Board combines experience, continuity, and a fresh perspective resulting from the expansion of our activities into the commercial vehicle segment. Our priority is to further strengthen PVRLA’s role as the unified voice of the entire industry – from passenger cars, through light commercial vehicles, to heavy transport. We aim to actively participate in shaping the regulatory environment, develop market standards, and support the sector’s transformation toward sustainable and modern mobility – said Paweł Piórkowski, President of the Management Board of PVRLA.

The newly appointed Management Board will face a number of challenges defining the current stage of market development. These include, among others, the continued transition toward electromobility and alternative powertrains, the development of the commercial vehicle segment, the digitalization of fleet services, as well as adapting the industry to a changing regulatory environment and growing customer expectations.
